Ashton X-1 Driver Out-Distances the competition at the 2004 Players
CupAshton Golf is pleased to announce their X-1 Driver was used
by Jeff Gavin to hit the longest balls of the 2004 Players Cup
Tournament. The 2004 Players Cup Long Drive Competition was held in
Wintergarden Florida this past weekend and boasted an elite field of 48
Long Drive Professionals that included past world champions.
On day one of the competition, in unpleasant windy and rainy
conditions, Jeff hit a huge 365-yard drive, which was 8 yards further
than the next closest competitor. On day two of the tournament, again
in windy and rainy conditions, Jeff once again hit the longest ball of
the day at 367 yards. In fact, Jeffs 367-yard drive on day two was the
longest ball of the tournament. Jeff was also quick to point out that
he only used one driver throughout the entire tournament. He estimates
he hit approximately 400 balls including those in practice and in
competition and the driver still looks and performs like new.
